Guided lessons
Shack CAD includes short practice lessons. Each one opens in a window of its own with a practice project, so the project you were working on is left exactly as it is.
Opening a lesson
Choose Help ▸ Guided Lessons and pick a lesson. The lessons are also listed at the top of Help ▸ Shack CAD Help.
A coach panel beside the practice project shows the current step, its instruction and a hint. A step is marked complete only when the app has seen it actually happen: opening the export sheet does not complete an export step, and a cancelled export does not count.
The lessons
| Lesson | What you do |
|---|---|
| Find your way around | Orbit the view, jump to a standard view, select a body by name, lock and unlock it, set its X position to an exact value, and undo the move. |
| Your first printable part | Draw a 30 × 20 mm rectangle, extrude it 6 mm, and cut a ⌀5 mm hole straight through it. |
| Save it, then export it for printing | Rename the body, keep an editable copy with Save Copy As, and export a Standard resolution STL or 3MF file. |
Progress
Your progress through each lesson is remembered. Undo and Redo inside the practice window work on the practice project only.
