Getting help
In the app
The Help menu holds:
| Item | What it opens |
|---|---|
| Shack CAD Help | Viewport controls, number entry, the main shortcuts and the plate-with-a-hole recipe. Also reached from Help in the tool rail. |
| Guided Lessons | Practice lessons in a window of their own. See Guided lessons. |
| Send Feedback… | A short form for reporting a problem or suggesting an improvement. |
| High-Resolution Export… | The purchase sheet for High resolution export. |
Tooltips on the tool rail and on greyed-out controls say why something is unavailable, and the same sentence appears in the status bar when you press the control.
Sending feedback
Choose Help ▸ Send Feedback…, write what happened or what you would like to see, and optionally give an email address for a reply.
The form sends only what you write, the optional email address, the app and macOS versions, your Mac model, your locale and a random identifier for this installation. With Include technical details on, it also sends the technical details listed in the form, such as chip, memory and which features are switched on; you can turn that off. It never sends your models, file names or project contents.
If the form cannot send, it asks you to email instead.

When you report a problem, it helps to say what you were doing, what you expected and what happened instead. Please do not attach a project you are not comfortable sharing.
